    the movie is good, but that is because it has been adapted to make it saleable. What he did is intruiging, but dont think of him as some kind of idol or hero. If you read the book you will see that he had a lot of issues partucularly with his parents, and one direct quote of his stated that his main reason for leaving was to hurt them. So yes his story is interesting but he had it all going for him, and he ran away because he was too stubborn to face up to the issues he had at home and with life

    i've never cried on a movie exept this one either.... it was such an amazing movie. one of the best i've ever seen, but really sad too.. congratulations to Emile Hirsch-just awesome..!!

    This movie touched me since I hitchiked and lived in a tent for a year all over Europe ending in north Africa after 11 months, this movie talked to me alot. A good example was when he's in a town where he see people eating in a restaurant and you're outside alone in the world... This movie really reminded me the good sides and the bad sides of this tramp's life. R.I.P Chris, what you did is something everyone should do once in their life.
