    OMG!! UR SO COLD!! HE WAS A TOTAL OUTCAST. UR JUST LIKE THE PEOPLE WHO SHUNNED HIM WHEN HE WAS SMALL AND STILL DO SHUN HIM DX me and him have so much in common Y.Y being shunned is not a pleasant thing. that's why i keep to myself most times. i hate expressing myself to people especially those i hate and those who hurted me

    i saw this movie last night for the first time i loved this song ...at the end when she pulls the mask off of him and it showed his face omg that scared the crap outta me! lol

    actually i think gerard's voice doesn't fit the phantom as I think the phantom should be able to sing like a real opera singer! he played his part well in this movie and it was good acting but i would have preferred someone more capable of singing like an opera singer than him, even if he wouldn't look good it would be much more fitting to the role of the phantom...

    I know there is a debate over who may be the better "Phantom" but I think that is silly. Both Gerard and Michael bring their own style to the character. Both do a wonderful job- Michael shines on stage and Gerard shines on film. What I appreciate... the movie and the reruns on O2 have introduced this amazing musical to many who had never heard it b4. Stop arguing over who the better phantom is- just love the music and lyrics. The story is timeless and both performances are incredible.

    gerard is really good but if you think he's the best you haven't heard anthony crivello who plays the phantom in las vegas. his voice made me cry it was so amazing. there might be a few videos of him on here so look him up and you'll see what i mean.

    while gerard does have more of a tough guy voice than any of the real phantoms, he couldn't compete with them vocally. he has had no training, doesn't know the first thing about opera, is is a really weak singer.

    Gerrard Butler = Best Phantom, Went to broadway to see it other day, gerrards voice just suits the role more, than any of the phantoms i have heard, i did music of the night for a show, no where near as good as this though, have a look at it on my page, and tell me what you think :)

    there was an interview with emmy on some sort of today show in britain where emmy said she was 16 when she started the film, turned 17 during, and was 18 by the time it came out (i basically just said what you said lol)
