    musician.. not intellectual. He is an airhead, man. Well intentioned, but aren't most people? I'll give it to him for trying to understand, we all should try and nearly all can't comprehend the state of things.. but he fronts man. Listen to him talk, look past the semantics (big words & specific knowledge - laws, etc), and posturing.. he wasn't to be a strong wise capable revolutionary, probably because he isn't strong or wise enough to navigate the world as it is.

    John Lennon, Bob Marley.. they speak to people's consciences and don't need to pollute it with self-righteous anger and fiery rhetoric to project 'passion'. Let's be honest. RATM wasn't really very good in the grand scheme of things. First album wasn't bad, La Rocha's previous band Inside Out was even better in at least that his desperation and arrogance wasn't as veiled. The other albums blew. Virtually everything on the radio since 1990 has been shit, save Biggie, Gorillaz, some hip hop.

    Secondeye, do you even know anything about Zac de La Rocha? He's one of the most like-able musicians I have ever seen. He says what's on his mind, raps about it, and he isn't afraid of people criticizing what he says. He's very intelligent, just try to listen to some of he's questions, nobody wrote that for him, he made them himself. And he's aware of the status of the world, not like all these pop people who can't sing about nothing else than "love"

    Tom Morello did.. I like Rage but their political opinions and Chomsky's for that matter I find just dumb. Read in a vacuum Chomsky appears to have his shit together. Watching him flip around regarding issues such as Pol Pot, the post war rule of communist in Vietnam, The nature of Ho Chi Min's ambition, economic growth in Stalins USSR is just embarrassing at times
