A movie you can't loose!
Lions for Lambs, directed and produced by Robert Redford.
Better than five hundred speeches from politicians or one thousand "news" from the media.
For the ones who like to THINK and have their OWN OPINION.
Inappropriate for the "politically correct" ones.
I agree. Something was done. Action is good, whether right or wrong. I knew what Tom was on about, re, having no choice but to stop and help if there has been a car crash. I grabbed this movie quick when I saw it. I knew there was a message. I was pleased, not be be dissapointed. Im not scared about what is happening as such. That was a lie. I am scared. More sad than scared though. I was naive. Am I still naive? Propaganda, as we know distorts, the internet form is the most powerful I have seen
The trailer might look good, but the film was shit. I sat through 1 hr 30 with basically endless talking. And the talking never went anywhere, so basically at the end, nothing had happened. Then again, I'm not American. It would be great if the film had a message, but it didn't.
I saw this movie and LOVED it, and I assure you that there is a very critical reason why the likes of Bill O'Reilly and others like him demand that Americans do not see this film. This production is certainly not suitable for those seeking to be entertained, but for those who still own at least a corner of their own minds they'll understand why this message is so crucially important.
My message to the entire "Lions For Lambs" crew: YOU DID SOMETHING! Thank you!
I don't see how you people think that this is an anti-war film. Yes It says that our involvement in Iraq was a mistake and that our efforts in Afganistan isn't enough, but I think it shows also the side of true Americans who stand and fight to better this country.
operation anaconda was a failure? it killed almost 1,000 taliban fighters and drove the taliban out of one of their strongest areas, the shahi-kot valley, how is that a failure? and 8 US soldiers were killed not 10, also the majority of US soldiers conducting operations in the valley were conventional that was because that was the first time conventional forces were in afghanistan as special op's conducted the intial invasion because they can deploy quicker. check you're facts dude.
the political and military part was based on operation anaconda being conducted by special forces ie rangers force recon and some airborne. it was not a complete failure but it was one of the few months to have casualties over 10 in one day
