That's defiantely true. They actually had that on tv last week. When you see those huge jaws clamp around a giant animal, it suddenly hits just how big these crocs can get. Like I have always said, I have so much respect for crocs and big cats.

The crocodiles in Africa are no where near the same as the ones in India (Tiger) or South America (Jaguar). Some are over 20', and the larger Nile Crocodiles can grab a zebra like it is nothing, and pull it into the water. Usually one Nile Crocodile is surrounded by a swarm of giant crocodiles, and no lion wants to go near that. The crocodiles in Africa are different.

You see that video of the Tiger killing a huge croc? That was pretty neat too. I think the big cat's agility has the upper hand of a croc out of water.

its Amazing how animals know who is who like the lion and croc both of them have respect for each other
  23. by Enando — @ 23:31:25

I am thinking that the animals are so used to human presences that it doesn't bother them anymore!
  24. by LISBET — @ 23:54:24

Well, it has long been a secret that the animals are under contract. That is why some animals you only see far away, and you see the same ones in close ups over and over. It's union work for the animals. Good work if you can get it.

the reason that they can get so close is that the animals have gotten used to their presents. before doing so, the aniamls would have to agree that these new visitors were no threat to them or their cubs. after that, they are basically safe to get close....although there`s a limit to how close you can get. they`ll likely give you a warning when they want you to bake off.
